The scope call / 30 minutes
Book the 30-minute scope call.
Thirty minutes with the person who will run your search. We settle the constraint the seat relieves, the number it has to move, the level and the band, and you leave with it in writing. Nothing is owed unless you hire.
Bring
Before the call- 01The seat as you have written it.
The title, the level you think it is, and the one thing the hire has to make true in the first six months. A rough draft is fine; settling it is the point of the call.
- 02The number it has to move.
Pipeline, uptime, a model in production, a launch date. The seat is scoped against that, not against a template.
- 03Who it reports to and who else is hiring for it.
If an agency or a platform team already has the search, say so. One channel for your candidates is part of how we work.
Leave with
After the call- 01A one-page scope, in writing.
The constraint, the number, the level, the compensation band and the screen we will run, for you to sign off on before anyone is contacted.
- 02An honest call on whether it is a hire.
If the constraint is tooling or a different on-call rotation, we say so on the call. We would rather say so before the search than after the hire.
- 03Two screened people within a day of go.
Say "go" and two people who passed the seat's screen reach you by this time tomorrow, with their written answers and our read. If not, no fee on whoever you hire from us on that search.
Hiring companies pay the fee: exclusive search from 17%, retained search at 20%. Candidates pay nothing.
