What did companies at my stage post for?
“We are a 20-person seed-stage AI company. What did companies like us post for in the last year?”
Hiring Intelligence / the connector
Ask your assistant what companies at your stage posted for, how your own hiring compares with the rest of its group, who else posted a seat, and what an investor's portfolio posted for. Every answer is what was posted and when, as the share of companies in a group that posted each role, never a claim about who is hiring today; shares are stated only for groups of thirty or more. A sixth tool weighs whether stuck work needs a hire, a workflow, a redesign or more leverage. From Human in the Loop Talent, technical recruiting for Seed to Series B startups across the US and Canada.
It runs inside Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Cursor and answers from the same published studies as the research pages. No sign-in, no account, nothing to install on your side.

Three recipes
Type the question as you would say it. Your assistant picks the tools; every answer states how many companies, out of how many, over which twelve months, and ends with the page it came from.
“We are a 20-person seed-stage AI company. What did companies like us post for in the last year?”
“Put our website next to the other companies in its group: what did they post that we have not?”
“What did the Bonfire Ventures portfolio post for this year, and who in it posted a VP of Sales?”
Six tools
Read-only, answered from the published studies. Each answer links the dashboard or study below, so you can check the sentence against the page.
list_groups
The company categories and investor portfolios we follow, each with how many of its companies posted roles we could read in the twelve months to its study date.
get_hiring_benchmark
For one group, how many of its companies posted each role in twelve months, biggest first, with the share where the group holds thirty or more, the last sixty days, the AI engineering line and the size mix.
compare_company
One company's twelve months next to the rest of its group: what it posted most, how many peers posted the same, what they posted alongside it, the roles most peers posted that it has not, and the role peers with the same mix posted next.
find_seat_peers
For a role as you name it ("VP Sales", "ML engineer"): how many companies in each group posted it, the share where the group is large enough, and for leadership seats the titles posted, naming a company only where its study page does.
get_portfolio_hiring
For an investor with a published study: how many of its portfolio companies posted each role, and the companies that posted most, as floors, named only where the study names them.
plan_next_hire
The decision step: what your group posted, your company next to its peers when you give a domain, and the method your assistant walks you through (seven short steps, four options per bottleneck, a ranked plan you decide on). Also offered as the "Plan your next hire" prompt.
It reports what was posted and when, as "posted in the twelve months to October", with the number of companies and the size of the group in the same sentence. It never says whether a role is still listed today, how long a search takes, the order a team hired in, or what a seat pays. Shares are of companies, not postings, and are stated only for groups of thirty or more. It says what peers posted and what a company has not; it never says a company is behind or what it should do. Every answer says what it will not say, and ends with the page its figures come from.
Each call is logged as the tool, the arguments as passed, the platform it came from and the time, with no personal identity, and kept twelve months. A company domain you pass may be noted on our existing record of that company. The privacy policy says exactly what, and how to opt out.
Check the health address: it lists the six tools when the server is up. An answer of "no group matches" means the company or investor has no published study yet; the request on the page that lists every group is where to ask for one. Answers trim to the headline sentences when the assistant asks for brief.

Next step
The connector shows what peers posted. If your constraint turns out to need a person, thirty minutes settles the seat, the level and the band, in writing.
