What did my portfolio post for this year?
What each portfolio posted for
Twelve months of postings to October 2026, as the share of each portfolio's companies that posted each role; counts for a portfolio under 30 companies.
Bonfire Ventures portfolio companies
91 companies; share that posted each role
Public boards we read: 21 of 91, listing 500 roles on our read of 24 October. Companies with no posting we could read: 53, unknown rather than quiet.
Vista Equity Partners portfolio companies
88 companies; share that posted each role
Public boards we read: 30 of 88. Companies with no posting we could read: 1, unknown rather than quiet.
Valor Ventures portfolio companies
26 companies; too few for a share: companies that posted each role
Public boards we read: 1 of 26, listing 6 roles on our read of 24 October. Companies with no posting we could read: 15, unknown rather than quiet.
What the postings say
- 01Of the 91 Bonfire Ventures portfolio companies we follow, 27 posted a software engineer role and 27 an account executive role in the twelve months to October 2026, 30 in 100 each.
- 0221 of the 91 run a public board we read every weekday; on our read of 24 October those boards listed 500 roles, and 13 of the 21 listed an account executive.
- 03Of the 88 Vista Equity Partners portfolio companies we follow, 58 posted an account executive role in the twelve months to October 2026, 66 in 100, and 17 posted an AI or machine learning engineer role, 19 in 100.
For founders and CEOs
If your investor is here, the bars are your peers inside the portfolio. A role most of them posted that you have not is worth a line in the next board update, either way.
For portfolio talent teams
The portfolio view in one place: which roles most companies looked for, which run a public board we read, and how many we could not see at all. The ones we could not see are the first check-in calls, not the quiet ones.
For hiring managers
Roles that most of a portfolio posted are the ones where sister companies compete with you for the same people.
Questions people ask
What did my portfolio hire for this year?
What it posted for: the share of the portfolio's companies that posted each role over twelve months. Postings show a company was looking, not that it hired.
Why are some portfolios shown as counts?
A share is given only for a portfolio of 30 companies or more. Below that, one company moves the share by several points, so the page shows how many companies posted each role.
Which companies in the portfolio posted most?
The dashboard names no company. Each portfolio's study page lists its companies; where a study is sent to the companies it ranks, the ranking stays with the study.
Is a company that posted nothing not hiring?
Not necessarily. Many companies hire through referrals, agencies and their own networks and never post, and many run no public job board we can read. A company with no posting we could read is unknown, so every figure here counts the companies that did post, and is the least of the group that was hiring a role, never the most.
Methodology and data
Window
Bonfire Ventures portfolio: 2025-10-17 to 2026-10-17. Vista Equity Partners portfolio: 2025-10-14 to 2026-10-14. Valor Ventures portfolio: 2025-10-14 to 2026-10-14.
Who is included
- Shares are of every company in the portfolio as its study counts them, including companies with no posting found.
- Listed figures are over the portfolio companies whose public board we read, never over the portfolio: Bonfire Ventures portfolio 21 of 91, Vista Equity Partners portfolio 30 of 88, Valor Ventures portfolio 1 of 26.
Coverage
- Listed figures are over the 137 of the 462 companies we track whose public job board we read every weekday (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable), on the read of 2026-10-24. A company with no board we read is unknown, not quiet: it may hire through referrals, agencies or its own site.
- Vista Equity Partners portfolio: 645 roles listed at 30 companies on 2026-10-24; not stated above because the group is read at its cap and a total would read as volume.
Limits and caps
- Bonfire Ventures portfolio: twelve months of postings to 2026-10-17, the 20 most recent per company; 14 of the 38 companies with postings sit at that cap, so their counts are floors. Every published group is provisional under the benchmark gate until 90 in 100 of its companies are looked for in both sources and 80 in 100 have their whole year read.
- Vista Equity Partners portfolio: twelve months of postings to 2026-10-14, the 10 most recent per company; 84 of the 87 companies with postings sit at that cap, so their counts are floors and this group states company shares only, never a posting share, a total or a per-company count. Every published group is provisional under the benchmark gate until 90 in 100 of its companies are looked for in both sources and 80 in 100 have their whole year read.
- Valor Ventures portfolio: twelve months of postings to 2026-10-14, the 20 most recent per company; 3 of the 11 companies with postings sit at that cap, so their counts are floors. Every published group is provisional under the benchmark gate until 90 in 100 of its companies are looked for in both sources and 80 in 100 have their whole year read.
- A share is stated only over 30 companies or more; below that the page gives counts. Medians, never means. Rules dashboards@1.0.0 (src/lib/dashboards.ts, tested in test/dashboards.test.ts).
When each figure can be stated
| Figure | Stated from |
|---|---|
| Company shares, Bonfire Ventures and Vista Equity Partners | today |
| Valor Ventures | counts only: fewer than 30 companies |
| Vista Equity Partners posting shares, totals or per-company counts | never at the current history read: nearly every company sits at the per-company limit |
| Days a portfolio company's listing has been up | not before 90 days of weekday reads, and only for a portfolio with 30 companies whose board we read |
