What did Series A companies post that seed companies did not?
The short answer
Seed and Series A companies post for different seats, and this page will show which, role by role, as the share of each group that posted each role. Until the Series A and B study is published the seed-stage answer stands on its own.
Until then: Who should I hire first after seed?
What this page will measure
- For each role, the share of the Series A and B AI companies we follow that posted it in twelve months, next to the share of seed-stage AI companies.
- The mix of roles the Series A and B companies list on their public boards, as listings, never as people.
When it arrives: 1 November 2026
The Series A and B study is written on 1 November 2026 from the companies we follow. Until then their twelve months are mostly what is still listed today, which undercounts the roles already filled, so a share would mislead.
For founders and CEOs
If you are raising a Series A, this page will show which seats companies a stage ahead of you posted that seed companies did not.
For portfolio talent teams
For a portfolio spanning stages, this page will separate what is a stage difference from what is a portfolio difference.
For hiring managers
If your team is about to grow from seed to Series A size, this page will show which seats arrive around you.
Questions people ask
Do Series A companies hire more salespeople than seed companies?
The page will say how many of each group posted a sales role once both groups are read the same way. Until then a comparison would set two different kinds of evidence side by side.
Does a posting mean the company hired someone?
No. A posting says a company was looking for the role, not that it filled it, and a company that posted the same role five times counts once. The page reads what was posted and listed, never who was hired.
Methodology and data
Status
Arriving 1 November 2026 (estimated 2026-11-01). Nothing is plotted on this page until the figures clear the published rules: a share over 30 companies or more, counts below that, medians only.
When each figure can be stated
| Figure | Stated from |
|---|---|
| Shares for both groups, role by role | 1 November 2026 |
| A headcount mix by function | never from postings |
